# Price List Management Implementation Summary

## Overview
Successfully implemented a complete Price List Management System for MADO POS with support for multiple pricing tiers, customer management, and item-specific pricing.

## What Was Added

### 1. Database Migrations
Three new migrations created:

#### `2026_03_17_000001_create_price_list_types_table.php`
- Creates `price_list_types` table
- Supports 4 pricing types: RETAIL, GROSIR, MEMBER, RESELLER
- Includes audit fields (created_by, updated_by)
- Soft deletes support

#### `2026_03_17_000002_create_customers_table.php`
- Creates `customers` table
- Links to price_list_types
- Stores customer info (name, phone, address)
- Includes audit fields
- Soft deletes support

#### `2026_03_17_000003_create_item_price_lists_table.php`
- Creates `item_price_lists` table
- Links items to price_list_types
- Stores item-specific prices
- Unique constraint on (item_id, price_list_type_id)
- Includes audit fields
- Soft deletes support

### 2. Eloquent Models
Three new models created:

#### `app/Models/PriceListType.php`
- Relationships: hasMany(Customer), hasMany(ItemPriceList)
- Audit relationships: belongsTo(User, 'created_by'), belongsTo(User, 'updated_by')
- Helper method: getTypes() - returns array of available types

#### `app/Models/Customer.php`
- Relationships: belongsTo(PriceListType)
- Audit relationships: belongsTo(User, 'created_by'), belongsTo(User, 'updated_by')

#### `app/Models/ItemPriceList.php`
- Relationships: belongsTo(Item), belongsTo(PriceListType)
- Audit relationships: belongsTo(User, 'created_by'), belongsTo(User, 'updated_by')

#### Updated `app/Models/Item.php`
- Added relationship: hasMany(ItemPriceList, 'priceLists')

### 3. Livewire Components
Three new Livewire components created:

#### `app/Livewire/PriceListTypes/Index.php`
- Full CRUD operations for price list types
- Search functionality with live filtering
- Modal-based form interface
- Validation with error handling
- Pagination (10 items per page)
- Audit trail tracking
- Methods: openModal, closeModal, edit, save, confirmDelete, delete

#### `app/Livewire/Customers/Index.php`
- Full CRUD operations for customers
- Search functionality with live filtering
- Price list type assignment
- Modal-based form interface
- Validation with error handling
- Pagination (10 items per page)
- Audit trail tracking
- Methods: openModal, closeModal, edit, save, confirmDelete, delete

#### `app/Livewire/Items/PriceListManager.php`
- Manage item prices for different price list types
- Add/Edit/Delete item prices
- Prevent duplicate price assignments
- Modal-based form interface
- Validation with error handling
- Audit trail tracking
- Methods: openModal, closeModal, edit, save, confirmDelete, delete

### 4. Blade Views
Three new Blade views created:

### 5. Routes
Two new routes added to `routes/web.php`:

Both routes are protected by `admin` middleware.

### 6. Navigation
Updated `resources/views/components/app-layout.blade.php`:
- Added "Price List Types" menu item with currency-dollar icon
- Added "Customers" menu item with users icon
- Both visible only to Admin+ users
- Proper active state highlighting

### 7. Database Seeding
Updated `database/seeders/DatabaseSeeder.php`:
- Creates 4 default price list types:
  - Retail Price (RETAIL)
  - Wholesale Price (GROSIR)
  - Member Price (MEMBER)
  - Reseller Price (RESELLER)
- Uses firstOrCreate to prevent duplicates
- Sets created_by to superadmin user

Two new documentation files created:

## Styling & UI Consistency

All components follow the existing MADO POS design patterns:
- DaisyUI component library
- Consistent color scheme (primary, warning, error, success, info)
- Modal-based forms
- Table layouts with hover effects
- Badge components for status/type indicators
- Icon integration using x-icon components
- Responsive design (mobile-friendly)
- Pagination with Tailwind styling

## Validation & Error Handling

All components include:
- Server-side validation with Laravel rules
- Client-side error display
- Form reset on successful submission
- Confirmation dialogs for destructive actions
- Proper error messages for user feedback

## Audit Trail

All operations are tracked:
- `created_by` - User who created the record
- `updated_by` - User who last updated the record
- `created_at` - Creation timestamp
- `updated_at` - Last update timestamp
- `deleted_at` - Soft delete timestamp

## Access Control

All features are protected:
- Price List Types: Admin+ only
- Customers: Admin+ only
- Item Price Lists: Admin+ only (via item detail page)

## Testing

All components have been tested:
- ✓ Models load correctly
- ✓ Relationships work as expected
- ✓ Routes are registered
- ✓ Views compile without errors
- ✓ Livewire components initialize properly
- ✓ Database migrations run successfully
- ✓ Seed data created correctly

## How to Use

### Access Price List Types
1. Login as Admin or Superadmin
2. Click "Price List Types" in sidebar
3. View, create, edit, or delete price list types

### Access Customers
1. Login as Admin or Superadmin
2. Click "Customers" in sidebar
3. View, create, edit, or delete customers
4. Assign price list types to customers

### Manage Item Prices
1. Login as Admin or Superadmin
2. Go to Items → Select an item
3. Scroll to "Price Lists" section
4. Add, edit, or delete prices for different price list types

## Next Steps (Optional)

Potential enhancements:
- Integrate prices into sales transactions
- Add bulk price update functionality
- Create price history tracking
- Add price comparison reports
- Implement automatic price adjustments
- Add seasonal pricing support
- Create customer-specific discount rules

## Notes

- All tables use soft deletes for audit compliance
- Unique constraint on (item_id, price_list_type_id) prevents duplicate prices
- Foreign keys use CASCADE delete for price_list_types and items
- Foreign keys use SET NULL for user references (in case user is deleted)
- All timestamps are automatically managed by Laravel
- All components follow existing code style and patterns
